Vietnam’s tourism market showed an array of positive signs in the opening four months of 2024. The total number of international visitors stood at 6.2 million, 3.9 per cent higher than prior to Covid-19, revealing the sound recovery and development of the country’s tourism market. Among the reasons behind the improvement are that favorable visa policies and attractive tourism stimulus programs continue to be effective, attracting growing numbers of international visitors. With the total number of international visitors rising 68.3 per cent over the same period of 2023, the country’s tourism industry contributed significantly to growth in the total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue in the first four months.
