The northern port city of Hai Phong has been focused on economic development towards green growth in recent times, with a number of industrial parks being converted into eco-industrial parks. Along with an orientation to attract more investment in high-tech industry, smart industry, the marine economy, clean energy, and semiconductor component production, Hai Phong has also issued development directions and policy mechanisms to support and encourage ecological industrial parks, establishing an industrial synergy model to cut costs and protect the environment. The city will also focus on three development pillars: seaport - logistics services, green industry, and international marine tourism.
