Facing a situation where Vietnam’s livestock industry is increasingly dependent on imported animal feed and raw materials, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang recently signed Decision No. 1625/QD-TTg approving the “Development of the animal feed processing industry to 2030” scheme, which sets a goal of further strengthening domestic animal feed production capacity and cutting the proportion of imported raw materials. The specific goal of the scheme is to industrialize the production of domestic supplementary feed to meet about 20-25 per cent of demand by 2025 and 30-35 per cent by 2030. The scheme identifies many tasks and solutions to develop and innovate industrial animal feed production technology in areas seeking to develop livestock.
