COVER STORY
Vietnam’s path to green transition began in earnest with the
adoption of the National Green Growth Strategy in October
2021, joined the following month by its commitment to net-
zero emissions by 2050 at COP26 in Glasgow. Amid a host
of policies and calls for widespread action, it will be
businesses in the country, both domestic and foreign, that
act as pioneers and show the way forward, “greening” their
technology, management concepts, and, ultimately, product
and service offerings. VET, meanwhile, held the 2024 Golden
Dragon Awards earlier this month, recognizing foreign
enterprises for their contributions to economic development
and specifically their efforts in green investment and
sustainable development.
