An additional $1.9 billion of FDI poured into Vietnam in August, bringing the total in the first eight months to $18.15 billion and continuing upwards compared to the same period of 2022, according to the Foreign Investment Agency at the Ministry of Planning and Investment. By sector, foreign investors put money into 18 out of Vietnam’s 21 economic sectors, led by manufacturing and processing. Singapore leads in FDI source, with more than $3.83 billion, or 21.2 per cent of the total.
