with Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race 2024

The Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race 2024 celebrates the richness of culture
and heritage in Vietnam’s capital, with runners having the chance to experience “Old Hanoi”
and its beauty in the fall-winter season.

The Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race 2024 has officially announced a race date of November 3, 2024.
Vietnam will be the tenth country to host the iconic Standard Chartered Marathon franchise. With the slogan “Run on, go
beyond”, the marathon is among the key events being held to celebrate Standard Chartered’s 120 years in Vietnam.

The marathon is open to all participants, from professional to amateur runners, bringing people from all walks of life
together to stay active and lead a healthy lifestyle while promoting running as a cultural and sporting heritage of the
capital. It also aims to elevate Vietnam as a host of marathon races around the world, contributing to the sustainable
development of the country’s tourism sector and making it a popular destination for runners and the international
community alike.

Its route will pass through Hanoi’s iconic cultural heritages, with runners given the chance to experience “Old Hanoi” and
its beauty in the fall-winter season. All associated activities will adhere to sustainability criteria, honoring the enduring
value of heritage and blending sports with culture and art.

Standard Chartered has a rich history in hosting prestigious marathons worldwide since 1997. The Standard Chartered
Hong Kong Marathon was its first marathon and remains its largest, with the participation of over 70,000 runners each
year. Along with the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, the race boasts a World Athletics Gold Label.

There are various distances for runners of all levels in the Hanoi event, from the full-marathon (42.195 km) to the half-
marathon (21.097 km), 10 km, and 5 km, and a distance specifically for children from 5 to 12 years of age.
